'He stole from the wrong dude': Guy retaliates against a phone thief by signing him (and his friends) up for every spam site he could find

It's 2023, who still steals phones? Back in the era when every iPhone 3 could be resold on the black market for an up-charge and even the OG flip-phone Razr's were valuable, it was a lucrative business, but now there are so many security measures to protect phone owners, it's a wonder that thieves are still motivated to sneak their hands into their fellow citizens's pockets. Perhaps the value is what we can find on the phones if they're jail broken, but the pincher is that all of these devices are earmarked by security and easily traced. An old school phone thief seemed to forget that detail and watched his quick cash grab turn totally toxic, learning quickly that he stole from the wrong guy. 

Here at Failblog, we love to see the villainous thieves of the world get what they deserve, and in this thief's case, he got a lifetime of spam emails/SMS texts from every scam group out there.

    Font - far from my carrier's local store, didn't have a phone to call them from, and my phone is my primary internet at home, it took me a couple days to get in touch with them.

    Font - In the meantime, the thief removed my SIM from my phone and put it in his own phone, which he was using to sell drugs and stolen property.

    Plant - I went to my carrier and shut him down. I got the IMEI of my phone blacklisted as well as the one he put my SIM in.

    Font - Then I logged into my carrier's account and looked at all the outgoing calls he placed. I found 13 different numbers he dialed. Now, all of his friends are signed up for SMS spam from the Republican Party, Democratic Party, and Libertarian party, as well as numerous individual campaigns.

To this day, nearly 15 years later, he STILL gets callsz texts, emails, spam snailmail, even pamphlets on his door..and he's moved about 8 times. All because he inquired about the best local number for someone to call who was interested.
